That's what I've been doing. Waiting. Waiting for what you might ask? Well, everything! When it comes to gardening, I'm waiting for the crazy spring weather to settle down.
I'm waiting for the plants to start really growing.
I'm anxious for my Meyer lemons to ripen.
I think I'm actually waiting for my summer garden! The raised boxes look half naked.
But there are a few blooms starting to flourish. The first buds of the clematis are starting to open. Below is "Fireworks". She's a rather short clematis, only growing 6-10 feet (maybe that's the norm; I'm kinda new to clematis).
And this one is either "Ramona" or "Carnaby". It had a tag that said "Ramona" but when I took it out of the pot spring before last, I found another tag buried in the dirt that said "Carnaby". So I'm not sure which it is but if you can hazard a guess, please let me know. Whatever it is, it's got lots of buds this year.
I leave you with a few random shots. One is my succulent shelf. I still have more repotting of succulents to do but rain keeps interfering with my plans. The little clay birdies are new for this year. They make me smile. And the wisteria, growing wild in the former alleyway and a real thug for invasiveness, is having its last hurrah.
