The damage on your jalapeno looks more like some insect munching though rather than slugs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow I'm going to try the chimney soot remedy for my black spot.  This involves, you've guessed it, dusting some soot from inside the chimney and applying to the soil.  I've never tried it before.  I suppose you don't have a coal-burning fireplace in your house?
