The Natural Garden Coach is owned and operated by me, Jean McWeeney. A graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in biology, I have been gardening and helping others with their gardens for over 40 years. I have a wealth of knowledge to help you bring out the best in your garden.
I worked in the world of high tech for many years, yet all the while I concurrently dabbled in my passion by working on my own garden (including an award-winning xeriscape garden), getting certified in landscape design, taking horticulture classes, helping friends and neighbors with their landscapes, and working at nurseries when I could.
My focus is totally on the garden now: I do garden coaching, write articles for garden publications and speak at garden events, tour gardens all over America and Europe, take and sell garden photos, and blog about my own north Louisiana garden at Dig, Grow, Compost, Blog. I also volunteer at our local farmers' market (where you can find me at the welcome table most Saturdays), and am president of the nonprofit North Louisiana Farm Fresh.
My own garden is informal, organic, all about attracting wildlife, and as with all gardens, a work in progress.
