They're Tonkinese cats and Tonks used to come from breeding a Siamese with a Burmese (but now they're their own breed). When I lived in Laos many years ago, I had a huge tom Siamese named "Chao Kuhn"...which means "Your Highness" in English because he was so "regal", and boy did he own and rule my house. He came from Bangkok, Thailand (formerly Siam) and the local people almost revere this breed. The neighborhood children were terrified of him and ran away when he hissed at them to "get lost".
