Foliage Follow-Up March 2010

'Firesticks', Euphorbia tirucalli v. rosea

The day after Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day is Foliage Follow-Up, hosted by Pam at Digging. I've got a few things going on foliage-wise, mostly with my succulents. I'm sure they're very thankful to be out in the sunlight again!

"Flapjack"

Some of my succulents, finally released to the outdoors again

My succulent shelf includes a couple of very special guests - some chickadees building a nest in the bluebird box (the one that never got set up). Although it's not really about foliage, I just have to show the evidence:

Here's a few other plants beyond the succulents.

Meyer lemon

New growth on 'Janet' rose

Lichens on cut oak log

Moss, rocks, leaves, and pinestraw

I hope you enjoyed my Foliage Follow-Up and to enjoy more of them, be sure to visit Pam's post. Happy Spring!

I am dying over that lemon! You grew that???? My lemon tree has been on the brink of death for two years!

  5. Love the flapjack (leaves?) (pads?)--they remind me of Tiddly Wink pieces! :)

  8. I love your plant stand with added adornments.....a very lovely touch.

The birds are so cute taking up residents in your bird box.....just goes to show we don't always need to put it in exactly the right spot. Birds always know best I suppose......

  9. I adore the foliage, but the little chickadee is priceless. After all, our gardens are for the creatures.

  10. The moss, rocks, leaves and pinestraw photo should be a painting hanging on the wall.

Your outdoor succulent shelf is fabulous and, oh, how I luv the little chickadee living in the bluebird box. That's sweet!
